I have an application using directX 9 that is used to draw inside two MFC window client areas.
What happens is that when I start using the main menu and then navigate to a submenu, when the submenu is above the area drawn by directX, it is clipped.
It seems that this is very similar (if not the same) as bug #11596 althought my configuration is different, i.e. I have a linux host (opensuse 12.2 "Mantis", kernel 3.4.63) and windows XP 32 SP3. I am using virtual box 4.3.10; I've also tryied 4.3.6 and the problem can be seen on both.
You can replicate the problem, by using one of the examples that came with the directX SDK, by moving it near the windows system menu and then start using the menus. That case is shown in the attached picture (not so sharp but had to use the mobile as could not produce a snapshot without changing the display, sorry about that).
Any ideas/workarounds anyone ? Any chances of having byg 11596 fixed ? Would it be better to raise a separate bug if needed ?
Please let me know if more infos are needed as I can produce them.
Thank you all
Giovanni

- Snapshot taken with mobile. Not very sharp but menu clipping and window clipping can be seen in the hi-lighted areas
