Determining drivetype with VBoxManage

Is there any reliable way to get information about drive types with VBoxManage?
My objective is to automatic remove media from all my guest with scrip , but I cannot see how can I distinguish cd/dvd devices from hard disks.
I can only *guess* that
if file in: "SATA-0-0"="/home/kjonca/.VirtualBox-data/vm/work/debian/debian/debian-v2.vdi" does not ends with "*vdi" that is supposed to be removable drive, but this is fragile, I think.
Any hint?
