running VB 4.3.10. OSX 10.9.2. I just ran into this accidently but noticed when I went to delete a VM that was imported as an appliance , even though I chose delete all files the VM remained in the VMs folder. I also noticed there was an empty folder remaining for a machine I created in VB and had deleted.

not a big deal really.

I've never seen that on a Windows host. Sounds like either you're mistaken, or there are permission issues.

well, as you can tell I'm not on a Windows host. As far as the permissions, the VM folder itself has read and write permissions for everyone. I can't check the ones that remained because I already manually deleted them. Looking at some of the guests folders, I have permission to read and write to them, but admin is read only as is everyone (others). The machines were all created with different versions of VB but I wouldn't think that would made a difference. I'll globally change everything inside the VM folder and see if that helps.

I have from time to time run into this issue. I remove the guest and select to delete, but on occasion the folder and even some of the content is not removed. Checking in the media manager it has been removed so no issue there. I just filed it under oh well, something was left behind and the folder could not be deleted. Selecting to manually delete the folder takes care of the issue. Since it is a rare issue and easily fixed I have not reported it.

well, at least it's not just Macs I think on Macs it never deletes a folder and for some reason if the guest was created by importing an appliance it doesn't delete the files in the folder either. As I said, no big deal. I'm not creating a ticket either.
