I managed to convert and import an existing windows XP system into a virtualbox machine. I also put a SLP string in the virtualbox bios, in order to keep the activation following this method: archive.today/JP5ku
Everyhting works fine. However, i'm unable to play windows media videos (.wmv) which are drm protected in the guest. I guess the licences i acquired are in some way linked to the hardware of the original PC, but i was wondering if there might be a trick to circumvent this limitation. In other words, does anybody know the hardwares that are checked and if it is possible to outwit the windows media player when checking that the file is playing on the same computer that devilered the licence?
It turns out that the IndivBox.key (a DLL renamed to .key) might be the key file
Thanks in advance for your answer.
