How to Recover the deleted Virtual Box and VDI file

Hello everyone,
I had a problem, I removed the mounted Windows.VDI How can I restore it in the basket is not no.
I would be grateful to any advice.

if you just removed it from the guest as opposed to deleted it, or moved it, just open VirtualBox, click on storage for the guest, click on the controller it was removed from, click on the plus/add icon. a window will open so you can re-add it. if you moved it, you have to find your VM folder, the the folder for the Windows guest and put it back. If you deleted it, and it's no longer in the trash and you don't have a backup there is nothing you can do.

Check if it's still there in <userdoc>\VirtualBox VMs\<vm name>. It will be there if you removed it but did not physically delete it.

If you physically deleted it, it's gone. The VDI doesn't go into the recycle bin because Windows doesn't allow very large files in there. For the same reason I doubt you would get it back from a restore point either.
