I am not able to connect to the graphical user interface of my Oracle Linux Machine. I use vnc viewer to connect. I have created a user which connects to the Linux Server. I have made changes in the /etc/sysconfig/vncservers file correctly. I have made changes in the /home/(username)/.vnc/xstartup as per the requirements. But When I open the VNC viewer session, I only get a gray Screen with X shaped cursor and a terminal.
I am not even able to start the VM in gui mode from virtual box console.

The gray screen with an X is an Xorg warning. You need to fix that before anything will work in GUI. I would get it to work from the Main manager first then the remote should also work.
