I'm running Host MAC OS Mavericks 10.9.2 and guest Win 8.1. All USB devices are running without any issues except portable hd Samsung hx-m101tcb/g.

It is stopped to work after Virtual Box Extensions were installed.

Minimum information needed for assistance. Add to that the .vbox recipe for your machine, as well as the output of the "VBoxManage list usbhost" with the Samsung device plugged in.
