Hi,
I have searched through a few threads and can't seem to find a solution to this. Its quite a simple question so would appreciate anyones help on this. Here is my issue;
I have a working VM on my Windows laptop. I am trying now to put this onto my Macbook Air. I first tried with Fushion - and everything worked fine. When the licence ran out I looked for an alternative, so am trying Virtual Box. The VM starts perfectly and the guest system starts fine. However, when I then open a browser or ping anywhere I cannot get through to the outside world. I am using the NAT adapter with all default setting as far as I can tell.
Here is my VBOX.log. Can anyone shed any light onto this ?

you might try changing the Adaptor Type.

Re: VM will not connect to internet
Thanks for the quick response.
Think I tried all possible adapters. Nothing works.
However I have not tried AirPort connection. How do I set that up ?

Re: VM will not connect to internet
Yes I am rebooting the VM every time I change adapters.
Tried the Airport - still no joy. Do I need to change any of the Advanced settings. i.e., My MacBook Air is using wifi - does it need a hard wired connection ?

Re: VM will not connect to internet
There seems to be an issue with certain routers. It seems some Apple laptops and guests work together fine and others don't. I'm not sure what the status is but I know there is a bug ticket for the problem.BrightEyes wrote:Yes I am rebooting the VM every time I change adapters.

One person here has a MBP and his guest works fine at home but not at work with a different router. Someone else may have another idea. Just takes time for people to respond.
