Need Help Please!!

Hello,

I apologize in advance if this is covered somewhere else, but I can't seem to figure it out.
1) I'd like to install my .iso file of Windows 7 on Virtual Box. My .iso file is located on my external drive. I got it installed perfect, but when I eject my external drive it seems that it is still searching for the external drive to read the file from? Why is that? I thought it installed, I don't want to have to have my external drive plugged in every time I need to use my VM.

2)Once it was installed, I seen that I wasn't able to make my VM full screen. I am currently on a Mac Book Air, and it is only showing the screen in the center. When I try to maximize it, it enlarges but keeps the screen the same size. I tried to Google search it and I see someone recumbent that i need to download some sort of Add-Ons, where can these be found? I've searched everywhere.

I really like Virtual Box, any help would be great! Again, I apologize if this is not the correct forum. Please let me know where I can post this message to get help!

1. first problem. make sure you didn't leave the windows .iso attached to the guest. look at the storage settings for the guest in VB and see if it's listed. if so, eject it.
2. second problem, install the guest additions.

2) Where do I find the Guest Additions? I can't find them online to download....

VirtualBox does come with a users manual for a reason

ok. the storage setting is in the same place in VirtualBox as it was when you first added the windows.iso so you could install your guest.

as far as the guest additions, start your windows guest. look for the Devices menu at the top of your screen. Select insert guest additions cd image, then open the CD inside the guest and double click on the windows guest additions file.

Thank you very much for your help! You were right about the User Manual, I just mis-read it the first time. I thought I needed to go online for the Guest Additions. Again, thanks for your help!
