Hypervisor (vbox) is crashing

Hello -- I spent the better part of a day setting up a xp guest in virturalbox (running on w7) and now when windows update in running in the guest (xp) virturalbox is crashing ... Is there a way to figure out where the problem is?

No error message in the screen ... just a window pop-up from host saying that virtualbox stopped working. After I dismiss
the pop-up, the vbox console just has the word "abort" next to the vm's name.

Is there a log file somewhere with more info?
