I'm running Virtualbox on a Windows 7 host. When I try to connect to a wireless network, it will not connect until I disable the Host-only adapter.
Why? Has anyone experienced this? Other than disabling the host-only adapter, does anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you.
Jason

You don't mention which is not able to connect : host or guest?

Re: Host-only adapter kills wireless adapter.
Sorry, the Windows 7 Host. I don't even have a guest running at this point. I'm just trying to connect to a wireless network in general.

Re: Host-only adapter kills wireless adapter.
Just to make sure I got it right... You installed VBox, have NOT installed (or more accurate, running) any guests, yet the host-only adapter on your Win7 host interferes with your wireless network (i.e. your actual, physical WiFi adapter). Is that correct?

Re: Host-only adapter kills wireless adapter.
That is correct. With no guests running. If I try to connect to a wireless network, it will not connect. If I then disable the host-only adapter, it will connect. This only affects wireless. Wired works fine.

same here. I have had this problem for a while. This might help, didn't do it for me. But it could be I have a heavily locked down machine. Any one else had any suggestions?

Do you need the host-only interface?
