I am using msysGit & have put VBoxManage.exe into my PATH. I have noticed a strange error where if I use incorrect syntax with the program, like "vboxmanage list vm" or even "vboxmanage", then use correct syntax for the next command, like "vboxmanage list vms", I get the "Failed to create the VirtualBox object" error. Then, if I type a correct command again, the error doesn't show up. The issue seems to only happen sometimes, and I have not been able to find a more reliable pattern.
I haven't tested the issue on any other computer, and likely won't be able to, as I don't have $500 or enough friends with VBox. I would think it's an issue for Windows, but I doubt it has anything to do with the particular guests I have. If you want to know them, I'd be happy to list them.
Is this a documented bug, and should we fix it? I know it's not something people will commonly encounter (enter wrong command, then enter correct command), but should we at least tell them about it?
I have attached a picture of the event.
