VPN-client netdrive in Win7 64 guest

I use an Windows 7 64bit guest on an Windows 7 64bit host and would like to connect to a network share via VPN (client) from within the guest.
The VPN server is on WinXP/AVM-fritzbox in the internet (I have no control on it). Host and guest have a public network installed and the guest is connected through NAT (necessarily !).
I can access a share on a physical XP-machine in my local network (with the host) from the virtual machine.
I get an positive VPN-connection but cannot connect to the network drive an the VPN server. I also tried port forwarding (135-139, 445, 443, 4500) without success.
Up to now I used VMWare Server 1.0 with NAT-network and WinXP as host and guest without problems.
Any ideas what could solve my problem?
Many thanks,
