How to remove nagging update window?

Hi,
I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and Virtualbox 4.2.24. When ever I do some launching of Virtualbox GUI the nagging update window "A new version of VirtualBox has been released! Version 4.3.10 is available at virtualbox.org..." appears. How can I stop this nagging window to not constantly reappear? I don't want to update to 4.3.x and I even can't, because VirtualBox support for Ubuntu 8.04 was discontinued in VirtualBox 4.3.x.
