Unable for VM to See USB or Other Drives in Host Computer

Post by AWA »

I have a very specific and limited need to use VirtualBox. I have an MS-DOS program (16 bit), that I wrote many years ago for the company I work for (dBaseIII Plus) that is windowed into a WindowsXP (32 bit) guest VM on a Windows 8.1 (64 bit) computer. I'm able to run the MS-DOS application in the WindowsXP guest computer without a problem, however, I have no access to the USB Flash Drives in the host computer, nor can I save files to the CD in the guest machine. Is there a simple way to solve this problem?
