As the title indicates, I made no changes to the BIOS since I had my 64-bit machines running properly, but now they won't, with the commonly seen "VT-x/AMD-V hardware acceleration is not available on your system." Since first coming across this error I've played with my BIOS settings more and even tried disabling Virtualization and IOMMU Support to see if it was mislabeled in my BIOS, as I know is the case on some OEM machines.
I'm running an AMD FX-8150 on a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD7.
Can't run 64-bit VMs, but haven't made any changes to BIOS

Re: Can't run 64-bit VMs, but haven't made any changes to BI
1) 64-bit guests need hardware-virtualzation enabled in the hosts bios.
2) when creating the 64-bit guest you must select 64-bit in General -> Basic -> version.
3) If running Windows as host you must make sure hyper-v or xp mode is not enabled on the host. MS does not play well and wants it all.
