Hi Folks,
Win 7-64 Host, Ubuntu 12.04LTS (64bit) guest (one and only guest).
I have the virtualbox guest system pointing device set to USB Tablet. This works great, except that within the Ubuntu guest, I cannot get the middle mouse button or scroll wheel to work. However, they work just fine in the host system.
I understand from other posts I've read that are related to this issue that it doesn't help to install the Host's mouse's drivers on the guest. Can't think of what else to do.
I'm new to Virtualbox and I'm new to Ubuntu, so don't assume much.
Thanks!
Update: Appears that if I set the guest system pointing device to PS/2 Mouse, the scroll wheel starts working, but doesn't seem to let the middle click work (not a PS/2 compatible feature?), all at the expense of having to use the control key in order to get my host mouse cursor back from the guest.
Wish I had the middle click, scroll, and seamless host-guest mouse switching too.

sounds like you don't have the guest additions installed in Ubuntu.Rude_Dog wrote: Wish I had the middle click, scroll, and seamless host-guest mouse switching too.
