Hi,
I was hoping you could help me. I have VirtualBox version 4.3.10 R93012 installed on a Windows 8 32 bit OS laptop. The specification of the laptop is:-
CPU: - Intel Core 2 T7600 2.33 GHZ
RAM: - 4.00 GB (3.25 GB usable)
HDD: - 100 GB
I tried to create a Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition VM installing from an ISO file on a DVD. The setup files installed successfully. Then the message came up to "Please reboot" When clicking reboot, the VM crashes: a Windows message with "Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager has stopped working" and when I close the message, the main window of VirtualBox is still open and the status of the VM is "Aborted".
I checked on your forum for solutions to this issue and checked 3D acceleration is disabled on this VM.
I have uploaded the log file: -
Please can you advise?
Thanks,
Kevin

Your log reports:
but you have allocated 2Gb to the guest. This doesn't really leave enough RAM for the host to continue to operate. I would suggest you reduce the amount of memory allocated to the guest.
Running Windows Server 2012 with Windows 8 on a machine of this size is stretching capabilities. I think you should be able to find a RAM size that works, but it is going to be a compromise between needs of the host and of the guest.
