Hello. I am planning to buy a new gaming pc where I can play recent high graphics games. But I have to run 2 vbox on windows 8.1 for 24x7

Which CPU will be best for this purpose?

AMD FX 8320 3.5 GHZ @8 core
or
Intel i5-3470 3.2 GHZ

Please help. Thank you.

You'll want 4 cores minimum, and it must support VT-x/AMD-v. Otherwise the choice isn't critical. I would tend to stick to Intel.

Thanks for your reply.

AMD-V ? I couldnt find AMD-V in both CPU !! Can you please take a look at these links:-

Fx 8320

i5-3470
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_i5/I ... -3470.html

AMD cpu has 8 core... and Intel 4 ... but why you are suggesting Intel? can you please explain little bit... I am confused here :(

AMD-v == virtualization technology, as implemented by AMD. The equivalent of Intel's VT-x.

Maybe it does or maybe not. AMD uses a different theory than Intel does and calls threads cores. I would verify with AMD that it is a full logical 8 cores.
