Hello! Im new to the forums, but I have had virtual box for a month or two now. I am an avid gamer, but never owned a PC, which is why I got VirtualBox. The problem is, when I run a game on Steam, hosted on VirtualBox, it gives an error "Display adapter does not support format D24S8 for X8R8G8B8. I've looked all over this forum and all over the internet for solutions, but nobly seems to have encountered this. I have the newest Macbook Pro, if that counts for anything...Thanks in advance! (:

Re: Steam?
there is plenty of info about the error you are getting. see here, Link.
the bad news is, even if you were booting Windows using bootcamp you would have problems. The graphics driver for VirtualBox is generic more or less and doesn't support the features. Even if it did, the games would be very slow running in a virtual machine.

Re: Steam?
you're welcome. games are just very demanding and there are many people who have relatively new PCs who can't run some games on their hardware much less in a virtual machine.
good luck.
