Hello, I have Oracle Virtualbox (latest version) with the latest OBIEE sample app on it. The OS is running on OEL 5.9. The sample app has the database installation on it as well as that is required before OBIEE installation. I believe that's part of why I'm getting an error when I try the following import on the Windows 7 host machine. My question is what am I missing in the command below? Do I need to set environmental variables in Windows for the import to work on the host machine? Do I need to include the ip address of the guest machine perhaps in the command?
Please see the attachment for error details. Helpful recommendations are appreciated, particularly modified examples with a made up ip address.

Re: Error When Importing Dump File from Windows Command Line
Why do you believe that this might be a problem with a hardware simulator like VirtualBox?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Re: Error When Importing Dump File from Windows Command Line
I never said there was anything wrong with the hardware simulator. I'm asking for suggestions on how to connect through the Windows command line above. The windows host and the VM are all on the same network but have different ips as I'm using a bridged adapter network connection with the VM. What syntax am I missing to connect to the schema on the virtual box through the windows command line? That's my question. Thank you.
I'm trying to connect to the database schema above AGGREG_BISAMPLE_EXA which resides on the Oracle Virtualbox machine.

Re: Error When Importing Dump File from Windows Command Line
VIrtualbox has nothing to do with this. You would have the same problem with physical PCs, so would need to find out if there are general troubleshooting tips for Oracle database connectivity somewhere on the Internet.
Re: Error When Importing Dump File from Windows Command Line
That's quite a stretch to say virtualbox has nothing to do with this since I am using virtual box. If you would say these forums are for hardware only, then make that specification. Thanks for the lack of help. Awful.

That makes as much sense as a drunk driver having an accident and blaming it on the car.
Just because the OS is being used in VirtualBox doesn't make it the only thing that can be causing your issue. Provide why you think it is a VirtualBox issue with backup and then we can see, but you should also proceed to Oracle and see what they have to say.
Note: if you can see the guest from the host via network then it is more than likely an issue with the host or the guest, since VBox is basically providing the connection.
