(Solved) USB problems on XP

I've just put a virtual version of xp back on my machine (Win 8.1 x64), i've not had problems before but now my usb memory stick wont attach, its also the same for the Linux Mints i've had installed. Heres the error i get

Failed to attach the USB device PNY USB 2.0 FD to the virtual machine XP.

USB device 'PNY USB 2.0 FD' with UUID {26a39674-2b53-41b5-9fbb-3ffc02f2fcf2} is busy with a previous request. Please try again later.

Im still having trouble, and it won't work on the Win 7 x64 i've put on. could it be because im using usb3 sockets?

It could be. VirtualBox doesn't support USB 3 at this time.

Solved, It seems to be working, had to get a cable to extend usb2 from rear.

go to your very first post in this thread, click the red edit button, in the text field where the title is, just type (Solved) in the front. then click submit.
