Hyper-V

Post by ABCraine »

I submitted a previous post regarding my 8.1 64bit host wanting to create an 8.1 64bit VM
called
Windows 8.1 64bit Guest on a Windows 8.1 64bit machine
The replier locked my post so I could not respond.

They said to look into disabling Hyper-V
I saw references to Hyper-v when I was looking at this last night, and I followed that lead, looked for
Program Features --> Turn Windows Features on and off
and there is NO Hyper-V listed

Now what, please tell me what to do, don't send me on a wild goose chase.

I search this computer for Hyper-V and find how to install it, not how to disable it.

Make sure that you have enabled hardware virtualization in your computers bios. Other than that it would have been hyper-v or XP mode that would keep it from working properly, but it could be anything else that uses VT-x and only in priority mode.
