NAT or Bridged Adater?

Post by LifeLearner »

All I want is to be ssh and VNC from my Windows 7 desktop into a VB guest running Solaris 11.

Which networking option should I choose?

I tried several different combinations and none of them worked for me.

I had no problem and didn't have to do anything with NAT when I used the VMWare Player.

Thank you for your help in advance!

If the VM is to be a server then it can't use NAT network mode. NAT VMs don't "hear" anything except replies to their own messages. Never anything unsolicited.
