I have instaled Ubuntu 12 in VB, yester day I installed 3D game, but the VB crashes after enabling 3D acceleration, so I want to return back before instalation. But when I try to restore from snapshot I get this error:
The VM session was closed before any attempt to power it on.
Return code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: SessionMachine
Rozhraní: ISession {12f4dcdb-12b2-4ec1-b7cd-ddd9f6c5bf4d}

You need to delete the saved state: right click the VM and select "Discard saved state".
I take it you deleted the file externally/manually. It's a bad idea to mess with VirtualBox's files if you don't know what they are.
If you still have a problem then post the .vbox file from the VM folder - you'll need to zip it, otherwise this site won't accept the attachment.

Did you mean .sav file from snapshot folder. No, I did not delete it. The file is still there and the time when was the file last modifed is same as the time when was the snapshot taken. Can you please tell me why is impossible to restore it, although the file exists? Thanks.

Ok, here's an edited version of your .vbox file. Rename or move your existing one somewhere safe, then put the edited version in its place. See how it goes.
I think your problem had to do with taking snapshots while the VM was in a suspended state, but I'm not sure because I avoid both features.

I still can't get back, but I decided to stay in current state (when will be relesed new version of VB with fixed 3D I would have to instal all the packages again if I woould restored, so I am staing in current machine state). I tried to make next snapshot before an instalation and after few hours restore and now it works! But one thing happened the Ubuntu won't start after restoring back to state agter instalation (disk error), but it automatically fixed.
