Authentification for RDP

Post by nb91 »

Hi,

I have a dedicated server in OVH which installed on Ubuntu 10.04 (x64). On this server, I have VirtualBox with four VMs running.

But now I need to enhance the security of my VMs. In fact, I can access to my VMs with RDP. I activated the Remote Desktop on VirtualBox for my 4 VMs (on different port for each VM of course) but I use the "nul" authentification actually. So, when I connect on one of my VM, I don't need some password after typing IP Address and Port Number on my client RDP.

So, now I want when I connect on my VMs, I need an authentification with user/password.

I use the official manual of Virutalbox (http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch07.html#vbox-auth) and others tutos to activate VRDE and use the external method authentification but it didn't work or rather I have not be able to activate it.

Could you help me please ?

Thank you

Regards.

I believe that forum VirtualBox on Linux Hosts would be able to answer this question
