Stuck

Post by Redheadedbaby »

I followed the instructions and downloaded the box but I made a mistake when it came to setting up the virtual hard drive. I made it bigger than my own hard drive. Since then every attempt to correct this has resulted in me receiving the message that I can't set up my box because the file already exists. I have gone on the forum and tried one solution of uninstalling it installing an older version uninstalling that one and reinstalling the latest version nothing happened except I got the same answer. Yes, I removed all traces of the first virtual box first. I have uninstalled reinstalled many, many, many times. I need to storyboard the logic for an app in IOS so far all I want to do is get a fifth of Jack and say later but, I can't. So, CAN SOMEBODY HELP A NOOB LIKE ME! Before I lose my mind! Also, please remember that this is not my original skillset I'm a filmmaker/art director by trade therefore this is all learn as I go here. SO, H E L P !!! P L E A S E ! !!!!

Uninstalling VirtualBox will not remove the guest you created.

First things first. What is the host and what is the guest you are trying to install. Also, how much free disk space does the host have?

Well 33.3 free space is a problem since the OS and what ever you wold need to do your work will probably take up at least 20GB.

But you might as well grab that bottle of Jack because you can't run Mac OSX on anything but apple hardware.

Please read Mac OS as guest important information

As for getting the space back look for the folder that the guest was created in and delete the folder.
