Random Freezes in VM, maybe RPC?

Hi,

The past couple days, I've started to experience issues with random freezes on my VM when using it which is very annoying. I decided that it might be my VM, so started a fresh with a new one but during set up I was getting the same issues. I've then decided it might be VirtualBox, so I removed the application, experimented with the application, and all (appears) to be fine. I install VirtualBox again, started my VM, and the freezing occurs again.

When my VM freezes, it sometimes causes no new windows on my host to open, and sometimes freezes that. I monitored my processes in task manager and noticed that the freezes occur (during all the steps mentioned above) when my RPC processes jumps from 0 to ~15% and hovers around there for a few seconds. Soon as that goes back to zero, all is fine again.

Anyone else had this issue, or know what it might be? I've tried altering my VM's Network Adapter from Bridged to NAT, but that made no difference. I've scanned my HDs under a quick CheckDisk, but that appears to be fine... I'm at a loss! I'm pondering on rolling my VirtualBox back to 4.3.6 in case that has some overriding effect, although it's only started happening these past couple days and can't see anything different on my environment :(

Cheers!
