Crashes when installing Kali

Post by jaredwj07 »

I am installing Kali on a 64 Win 7 system, but I set VirtualBox to 32 bit Linux and used 32 bit Kali. It is giving me the following fatal crash:
1:14:13.204155 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
01:14:13.204183 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
01:14:13.204439 emR3Debug: rc=VERR_REM_VIRTUAL_CPU_ERROR
01:14:14.205638 Changing the VM state from 'RUNNING' to 'GURU_MEDITATION'.
01:14:14.208182 VMR3Suspend:
01:14:14.208238 RUNNING -> SUSPENDING, RUNNING_LS -> SUSPENDING_EXT_LS failed, because the VM state is actually GURU_MEDITATION
01:14:14.208318 VMSetError: D:\tinderbox\win-4.3\src\VBox\VMM\VMMR3\VM.cpp(3434) int __cdecl vmR3TrySetState(struct VM *,const char *,unsigned int,...); rc=VERR_VM_INVALID_VM_STATE
01:14:14.208341 VMSetError: VMR3Suspend failed because the current VM state, GURU_MEDITATION, was not found in the state transition table
01:14:14.225847 ERROR [COM]: aRC=VBOX_E_VM_ERROR (0x80bb0003) aIID={8ab7c520-2442-4b66-8d74-4ff1e195d2b6} aComponent={Console} aText={Could not suspend the machine execution (VERR_VM_INVALID_VM_STATE)}, preserve=false

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

This is the danger of posting a partial log, the part that you believe is important. A couple of lines above the copy-paste thing that you did, I bet there was a "Guru Medidation" error. This is not good and not easily solvable. Try to downgrade to 4.3.6 and see if it solves it. There were some issues with 4.3.8 that are being worked on.

Next time that you have a problem like this and you're seeking help, try
a) searching the webs (cause there are plenty of similar errors) and
b) Minimum information needed for assistance.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
