I recently started trying out some nodejs development on an Ubuntu VM machine. So far I've been fine doing it all on the VM, but I need to try some things out with the app from my host windows machine. The problem is I can't figure out how to get a shared connection between the host and VM, or at least being able to access my locally hosted app (on Ubuntu VM) from my Windows (host). E.g 127.0.0.1:8080.
How would I go about doing this? I'm quite new to the whole virtual box deal, so try to keep it on a newbie-level. :p
Thanks in advance.

Re: Host<->VM nodejs hosting
Under VM Settings, Network, Adapter #, choose attached to "Host-Only". Then find your guest address and ping it from the host and vice-versa. By default, it should be in the range of 192.168.56.xxx
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
