Do you know what an attachment is? you take a text file like you are spamming your posts with and attach it just like you do the graphics.
Anyway if you read the Xorg.0.log it makes no mention of a mouse. That is why it is not working.

found hardware abstraction layer . . . hal daemon . . . was failing to load on bmw . . . once resolved hald problem the mouse works great now . . . all the help has been very much appreciated
