VirtualBox 4.3.8 bridged networking conflict with VMWare

I'm using Windows 7 x64 and I just upgraded to VirtualBox-4.3.8-92456-Win.exe. After the upgrade bridged networking stopped working in VMWare Workstation 9.0.3 build-1410761. After disabling the VirtualBox bridged networking driver VMWare bridged networking started working again. I re-enabled the driver just before I rebooted and after the reboot again VMWare bridged networking didn't work until I disabled VirtualBox bridged networking.
Is this a known issue? I seem to remember this happening once before and the solution was to reboot but that didn't help this time.
