Error when migrating windows guests between windows hosts

I recently tried to move two windows 7 guests from one windows 7 host to another. I cloned them, copied the .vdi, and tried to fire it up in the next machine and I get the windows 'error booting'.
I tried using a windows install iso, but no luck there either. Any help?
