Hi,

why do I get different graphics renderer when installing guest additions 4.3.8 in Win 7 vs. Win8.1?
Furthermore why is the renderer installed under Win7 (OpenGL 2.1) more capable than the one installed with Win8.1 (OpenGL 1.1)?

I am trying to use a OpenGL based CAD application in Win8.1 using VBox 4.3.8 on Ubuntu 13.10.
Because of the reduced capabilities 3D performance in Win8.1 is extremly low.

Any ideas why the Win8.1 renderer using the vbox guest additions has reduced capabilities?
Any ideas how to improve OpenGL performance under Win8.1?
