4- I use different USB port and still the same
I am running VirtualBox 4.3.8 I believe that the latest version
Under the VirtualBox setting and USB Tab the enable USB Controller is checked but in the man time is fray out I can't change any setting their and the Enable USB2.0(EHCI) Controller is not check and fray out as well - I already create the filter for my LEXAR Jump Drive and it is checked

Re: USB Not recognise on Win 7
Have you installed the VirtualBox 4.3.8 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack?
Does your Mac have USB 2 or USB 3 ports? USB 3 isn't supported in VirtualBox yet.

Yes, you need to get the Extension Pack. It's on the same web page where you downloaded VirtualBox.

Re: USB Not recognise on Win 7
Maybe it's because VirtualBox doesn't support USB 3 yet.

Re: USB Not recognise on Win 7
If you just need copy files to and from the external drive you can create shared folder the points to the drive. You just can't run apps from a shared folder as far as I know.
OSX, Linux and Windows Hosts & Guests
There are three groups of people. Those that can count and those that can't.

I am having a similar problem.
Mac host, Win7 guest. VB 4.3.10. VB Extension pack installed.
But I cannot get the USB 2.0 EHCI to enable. It remains grayed out and unchecked.

Re: USB Not recognise on Win 7
Are you trying to change the setting while the Win7 guest is running?
