VBox 4.3.8 install on Mavericks 10.9.2 Fails + breaks 4.3.6

Since 4.3.6 was buggy and forced me to restart every time I wanted to kill off my VM's with bridged connections, I saw this was now fixed in 4.3.8 according to the changelog.
I recently upgraded to OSX Mavericks 10.9.2 from 10.9.1.
When trying to install VirtualBox 4.3.8 it failed first time! It also screwed over my existing VirtualBox 4.3.6 installation and I now receive the message:
You can’t open the application “VirtualBox.app” because it may be damaged or incomplete.
Watch out for this one, save the pain and don't bother installing this 4.3.8!
When attempting to run the uninstall script, I then received the following error:
