Host: windows 7 64-bit
Processor : core i5-2400 (quad core 3.1GHz)
RAM : 16GB


when i open 2 VMs and do heavy work on both of them.. Selecting thousands of rows on both of them at the same time.... The CPU on the HOST jumps to 70% and in both guests to 100%

is this normal/acceptable?

It depends on how the guest/s are setup, but 100% CPU is a good thing sometimes.
I don't see Win 8 being better than even Vista, and evidently neither do most people.
