Is it achievable?

Post by Tiktak »

Laptop:Compaq Presario C304
CPU: Intel T1350 @1.86GHz 1.86GHz
RAM: DDR2 533 2GB
HD: Toshiba MK1652GSX SATA 160GB 5400rpm 8M Cache

This is what I plan to do.
1. Install Windows XP home edition as host.
2. Install VirtualBox as guest.
3. Add guest addition.
4. Install Win 8 on guest addition for testing (for one semester).

Question:
Is it achievable?

Thanks.

http://ark.intel.com/products/27243/Int ... 33-MHz-FSB

Not with the T1350 CPU. It does not support hardware virtualization needed by Windows 8

Thank you!

How about this one:
Intel Atom N280 (1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 cache)

Does this one support hardware virtualization needed by Windows 8 ?

Thanks.

Sorry but you can search the Intel site as easy as I can. Look it up, but with atom in the name I doubt it.
