There is no "Virtual Box Only Network". Assuming you mean the "Host Only network", that IP address means you aren't being assigned an IP, which means your guest is not seeing a DHCP server, or is not looking for one. In any case you can't reach the Internet using HostOnly - that network mode it is for communication with the host only, VBox provides no connection to a physical network in this mode. I note that you say that you do have Internet access from the guest, and if that's so then something else is going on too. However that was possibly a typo. Please clarify.

Re: VirtualBox Only Network with 169.254.66.199
Excuse me for my post, on host, on list connection there is VirtualBox Host-Only Network.
Inside guest I get like ipaddress 10.0.2.15, but If I view detail on Host inside VirtualBox Host-Only Network I get 169.254.66.199.
Maybe before was 192.168.56.1.
Is it correct ?

How did you see that information? Post screenshots if necessary.qwerty50 wrote:If I view detail on Host inside VirtualBox Host-Only Network I get 169.254.66.199
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Re: VirtualBox Only Network with 169.254.66.199
That is the form of address you would get when use NAT network mode, not Host Only. With NAT you can access the Internet from the guest, messages use the host as a gateway hence the Internet sees only the hosts IP. In NAT mode the guest only receives replies to its own messages, it is deaf to unsolicited messages unless port forwarding is configured.qwerty50 wrote:Inside guest I get like ipaddress 10.0.2.15
You should find it useful to read the "Virtual Networking" part of the user manual.
