Got 'Oracle VM Virtual Box Manager has stopped working'

Hi, everyone,

host window 7
guest oracle linux 6.4/6.5
virtual box 4.2.18, 4.3.6, 4.3.8

error message showed up right after I hit 'REBOOT' when I was done with guest OS installation.

Please help.

Perhaps remove the install CD before rebooting? Also, I see no evidence in the log that the guest found a bootable partition on the virtual hd.

I followed the instructions on this link http://www.lab128.com/rac12_installatio ... _text.html and I used the exact same version of softwares.

The first time The second time
system
boot order CD/DVD-ROM, hard disk boot order hard disk, CD/DVD-ROM
storage
controller: IDE
IDE Secondary Master: [CD/DVD] v37084-01.iso
controller : SATA
SATA Port 0: rac1, vdi(Normal, 20GB)

After I clicked 'REBOOT' and the error message shown up so I changed the boot order restarted. I still got the same error message.

I used the Virtual Media Manager and I saw
Hard Disk
name virtual size actual size

rac1.vdi 20 GB 2.56 GB
Type : Normal
Location: C:\users\GRACE\VirtualBox VMS\rac1\rac1.vdi
Format: VDI

I am attached more log files.


Please help!

I don't click offsite links. If you have questions about a 3rd party tutorial then you should ask them of the guy who wrote it.

We don't need more log files unless the circumstances have changed, in which case do describe here what the change was.
