I had a SBS 2003 virtual machine setup and working well. I exported it then imported it on a different host.
Now, networking does not work on the guest SBS 2003. In device manager, it shows the AMD nic and says it was unable to allocate resources....
What can I do to get this working? I tried uninstalling and let it be detected again on reboot, no change. I tried running the guest additions addon again as I know that helps in vmwaer but did not help.
I tried cloning the imported machine and had it generate a new mac in the process and no change.
Thanks.

IIRC it should be one of the Intel drivers not AMD.

It was AMD (actually PCnet) on my original host.
I think you are on the right track though. I was able to fix it by selecting a intel NIC in the settings instead of a PCnet or amd NIC. SBS 2003 recognized it right away and installed it and I was good to go.
