Virtual Box failed installation?

Hi I have a problem with installing this software v2.0.2 on a Mac OS X 10.9.2 both of which were bought today. My very first time of installing on this mac. I've restarted the mac and shut it down several times. Every time i try to install Virtual Box i get the same error "The installation failed" There were errors with the installation" any other suggestions would very much appreciated ?

ive googled and looked up on these forums about this issue and ive done exactly what others have done. which is shut down/ restart and uninstall

Why such an old version of VirtualBox? release version is now at 4.3.8. Also you say both were bought today. Are you saying you paid for VirtualBox?

.. Erm yes £50 from rip off pc world by the sound of it. I think because it "includes StarOffice" sounds like i should be returning it?

Ok thanks for your replies . i dont think they will refund though as its optical disc with a serial number and they will just say i installed it now i am retuning it .... mega peed off now! ill return the mac if they dont then go direct to Apple
