Running two Virtual Machines in Virtualbox

Hi,

Hopefully an easy question to answer and more for clarity than anything.

I want to run 2 separate virtual machines using XP but for neither to be connected in anyway. Is it just a case of making sure that any previous that i've deleted i haven't kept a copy of and then just setting up the 2 new virtual machines as normal?

As I say, I don't want there to be any link between the 2, so if there's anything else I need do, i'm open to ideas.

Thanks for your help.

I am not sure how separate you want them to be. To be completely separate, disable the network on both machines. If they both have network connectivity via NAT, they are about as connected as my XP machine behind my firewall is connected to your XP machine behind your firewall.

Excellent, thanks for your reply dude.

As I say, it was more for clarification that no information could be seen by a company if i were using either machine that would link the two.

One of the bigger reasons I use virtual machines is to maintain separation. In my day job I attach to my company through my "home computer" which is actually an XP instance under Virtualbox. I use it for nothing except attaching to a Citrix server through a VPN. If for some reason my company decides to investigate my computer, they will see nothing except work activity.
