How I updated VB in 64-bit Win. 8.1; "guest" openSUSE okay

With Oracle (Virtual Machine) VM VirtualBox 4.3.4 r91027 installed in a 64-bit, Windows-8.1 operating system and a 64-bit, openSUSE-13.1, Linux operating system installed as a virtual “machine” for Oracle VM VirtualBox I hoped to update Oracle VM VirtualBox (hereafter called VirtualBox) without damaging the 64-bit, openSUSE-13.1, Linux operating system installed as the virtual “machine” of VirtualBox. First I downloaded the installation file for the new version 4.3.6 r91406 of VirtualBox from http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualb ... 06-Win.exe on the Internet. Then I ran that installation file and in Windows 8.1 disconnected from a local WiFi connection to the Internet, I think after being informed during that installation that something associated with that WiFi network would be reset (In this way I could avoid possibly doing something undesirable to the WiFi network which people besides me use.). The result of that running of the installation file VirtualBox-4.3.6-91406-Win.exe was that VirtualBox 4.3.4 r91027 was replaced by VirtualBox 4.3.6 r91406. In Windows 8.1 I reconnected to the local WiFi network connection to the Internet. After starting the updated, VirtualBox 4.3.6 r91406 I found that the openSUSE-13.1, Linux operating system was gratefully still able to be used with VirtualBox. However, I could not connect to the Internet from the openSUSE-13.1, Linux operating system while Windows 8.1 was connected to the Internet. I successively shut down or terminated openSUSE 13.1, VirtualBox 4.3.6 r91406, and Windows 8.1 and then started all of those things in the reverse of the order just mentioned. This time gratefully I could connect to the Internet in the 64-bit, openSUSE-13.1, Linux operating system used as the virtual “machine” of VirtualBox 4.3.6 r91406 while the 64-bit, Windows-8.1 operating system was connected to the Internet.
