Hi all,
I have tried resolving this one for so long I can't remember! I am hoping someone will be able to help...
My situation is that I have a Windows 7 Professional Host with 3 Windows XP guests, After a random period of time, what appears to be a DNS issue occurs on all the guests but affects the host also...
If I close the 3 Windows XP guests, the host starts to resolve again. If I restart the guests, DNS continues to resolve on the host and guests for a number of hours/days, but then fails again.
Entirely rebooting the host machine also works, but eventually fails again.
I have reason to beleive that VirtualBox could be the issue due to the fact that if I close the guests, the host starts workign again.
I 'could' be suspecting that my current home router 'could' be to blame also, possibly due to the amount of data flowing through it and the number of ports open, etc... Though I have no evidence to support this last one.
My version of VirtualBox is 4.3.6 r91406 and I use NAT on all guests with some port forwarding (up to 30 ports on each machine).
I'd really appreciate some help with at least where to start.
Thank you in advance.
