Hello,
I'm using virtual box 4.3.6 on a Windows 8 host. I have attempted to connect to a ps3 eye camera onto two different guest OS, Ubuntu 12.04 and Windows xp but have had no luck. I installed the necessary drivers on XP, and the camera can be identified under devices->usb devices but when i open the software to preview the camera image all I get is a black image. The same goes for Ubuntu. The camera is available under devices->usb devices as well but when i attempt to use it via Cheese, I get the same black image.
I have installed the extension pack and created a filter for the device on both OSes.
Has anyone here had anyluck connecting this particular camera, or any USB camera for that matter?
If it helps, I am using the modified camera as an eye tracker. In XP I'd like to use ITU Gaze Tracker and Opengazer in Ubuntu.
Thanks in advance.

No. None. Simple USB capture doesn't work for cameras (which sucks), that's why they had to create the special mode for USB webcams. Chapter 9.7 of the user manual.A_Cortez wrote:Has anyone here had anyluck connecting this particular camera, or any USB camera for that matter?
