I have installed VirtualBox-4.3.6-91406-Win and Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.3.6-91406 on my Win XP SP3 computer, but I can't figure out how to install Win XP SP3 in VirtualBox. All I get is a black window that I can't do anything in. No matter what I click on, nothing happens. I can't type anything, either.
I have searched this forum and google for a step by step tutorial, but can't find any fr this version of VirtualBox.
Can someone please help me?

Re: Win XP host with Win XP guest
The main things you need to create a VM from scratch are: a genuine setup CD/DVD for the chosen OS, plenty of available RAM, plenty of available disk space. A dual core or better host CPU would be good as well.
Make an ISO image of the setup CD, it'll be more convenient to use with VirtualBox. Beyond that - read the user manual section that Jorgensen has indicated.
