These show you are running software acceleration and that is why it is slow.
Post the guests /var/log/vboxadd-install.log ( as an attachment )

So it looks like the guest additions are installed. What do you see if you run the following
Also post the guests log file ( as an attachment )
One other RedHat type distro that I like is Oracle Enterprise Linux. Fast, and none of the overhead of eye candy.

I asked because it is important.
The previous one shows gallium. you have since done some work to correct this, meaning it should have changed to chromium. This needs to be verified.
Also every time you change something that should improve the guest it is written to the log file.
If you are satisfied then no other data is required and the topic can be closed.

I tried to enable 3D acceleration and start OS. After entering my os credentials , i am getting blank screen.
As you said, OpenGL is not updated to chromium

Let's start at the beginning. The extra packages needed are listed below. Try to install them even if you think you already have.
If 64-bit guest
Code: Select all
yum install dkms binutils gcc make patch libgomp glibc-headers glibc-devel kernel-headers kernel-devel
If 32-bit guest
Code: Select all
yum install dkms binutils gcc make patch libgomp glibc-headers glibc-devel kernel-headers kernel-pae-devel
Now watch the screen closely. I need to know any error that shows.
Then I want you to install the guest additions again. Here again watch the terminal screen for any error and report back here.
Note: Fedora 17 has gone past its EOL so it may be that the packages you are downloading are not 100% compatible.

I followed your steps and reinstalled Guest settings. Again its not working as expected.
When i tried to download required packages. I am getting "No updates available". As you said they didn't provide support.
Attached logs for your reference. Let me install with Fedora 20 OS and will update you.
Thanks for your valuable help. Very much appreciated your support. Keep doing the same.
