VirtualBox Dont Detect NAT [Windows 8]

I recently re-installed virtualbox onto my PC and tried to install Ubuntu 13.10 as a VM. On the installation screen of Ubuntu it shows that I am not connected to the internet, when I am certainly sure I am via WI-FI. Prior to this trial on Virtualbox, I did it on VMware and I got an internet connection there. Can anyone help me out with this problem. note. I am a bit new to virtualbox and Vm's. Any requested information will be given.

Are you using Bridged or NAT mode? Under VM Settings -> Network -> Attached to. Because the Bridged+WiFi combination has issues. Switch to NAT.

Click on advanced ( in your screen shot ) and make sure that the cable connected box is checked.

Shouldn't one of the Host's network cards be selected in the "Name"
selection box just below the "Attached to" "NAT" selection box?
If no Host net card is specified then the Guest is not connected to
any network.
Or am I missing something?

Not when you use NAT.
Run the following in a host command window.
Note: you will need to be in the directory that actually has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work.

I Have been seeing this VBoxManage coming up rather frequently. How do you get access to this or the command line perhaps.

Thanks everyone for the help, but I got it thought out and solved it.
Solution:
I uninstalled virtual box using Perfect Uninstaller subsequently, I went to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and deleted " VBoxDrv.sys, VBoxNetAdp.sys, VBoxNetFlt.sys and VBoxUSBMon.sys"
after that, I went into my Adapter Setting via Network connections and disabled Virtualbox Host-Only Network Adapter then deleted it from Device manager. Restarted my Machine reinstalled Virtuabox and Its Working fine now.
