Hello All,
I'm using VirtualBox 4.3.6 r91406. I'm on Mavericks 10.9 with the following specs:
Processor: 2.5 Ghz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHRz DDR3
Storage: 500gb
I'm trying to install a 64bit Win7 install. I set the VM with the following spec:
1 processor
4gb ram
vt-x/amd-v enabled
25gb space
It starts to go through and then the Vm aborts. I've tried recreating the VM, making the space both dynamic and fixed, but it just aborts during the setup. I feel I'm missing something basic, but I was wondering if I could get a hand looking at the log file.
Thanks,
~T

Re: Trouble installing win7 64 bit guest OS
Unfortunately, with a truncated log file there isn't a lot to go on. I would however try reducing the guest RAM to 2GB.
Re: Trouble installing win7 64 bit guest OS
I had the same problem and changing the memory config down to 2 GB solved the problem.
It is a reoccurring problem.
Strange because that is why I am using 64 bit versions of OS.
I thought it would be a good idea to give Windows some more memory to perform better.
But now everything works fine.
